April 2 Finding your Purpose…Finding your Place.

Pastor’s Blog April 2, 2017 “Finding your Purpose…Finding your Place.”
Finding implies that you are looking for something. Discovering your purpose brings joy and direction.
Finding your purpose means finding your place: in the Body of Christ and in life. In keeping with last week’s message of living as a “called person,” knowing who you are and who are not is all part of finding your place. Like being a part of a sports team, knowing what you are responsible for and the role of others creates a winning strategy.
You were created for an eternal purpose. You are unique. “There is no one youer than you.” You are God’s masterpiece: God’s design. You have a spiritual “SHAPE:”
• S = Spiritual Gifts (1 Corinthians 12)
• H = Heart (Matthew 22:37)
• A = Abilities (Romans 12:6a NLT)
• P = Personality (Galatians 2:7-8)
• E = Experience (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
Finding and discovery is only the beginning. Once you know your purpose and your plan, your fit, the next step is doing. I don’t want to sit on the bench or be a spectator. I want to be in the game. Doing brings life.
Let’s live “life on purpose” and let’s serve in the place God has created just for us.
